Reactor Pressure Vessel for Refinery Operations and Distillation Tower Application

Description

Reaction Pressure Vessels

It is mainly used to complete the physical and chemical reactions of the medium. It is usually cylindrical or spherical, can withstand a certain pressure, and provide a closed space for the reaction. The material is selected according to the characteristics of the medium and the reaction conditions, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc. In special cases, corrosion-resistant lining materials will also be used.

01 Reactor

Agitator Reactor: usually cylindrical or square, with a stirring device inside, suitable for liquid phase reaction, can provide good mixing effect

Tower Reactor: has a high specific surface area, suitable for gas-liquid or liquid-liquid reaction, often used in absorption, washing and other processes

Fluidized Bed Reactor: solid catalyst flows with gas or liquid in the form of particles to form a fluidized state, with good heat and mass transfer performance

Tubular Reactor: generally long straight tube, reactants flow along the length of the tube, suitable for gas or liquid phase reaction, with high heat and mass transfer efficiency

Fixed Bed Reactor: the reactor is filled with fixed solid catalyst, reactants pass through the catalyst bed, suitable for gas-solid or liquid-solid reaction

Bioreactor: used to provide a suitable environment to support the growth and metabolic activities of microorganisms or cells, often used in biotransformation or fermentation processes.

02 Reactor

Vertical Reactor: The reactor body is in the shape of an upright cylinder, usually with a flat or dished bottom and a head on the top. The stirring shaft is installed vertically in the center of the reactor body, and the agitator is located at the bottom of the reactor. This structure allows the material to be naturally stratified under the action of gravity, which is conducive to the separation and reaction of materials in different phases. At the same time, the height of the vertical reactor is relatively high, and multiple layers of stirring paddles can be set as needed to meet different stirring requirements.

Horizontal Reactor: The reactor body is a horizontally placed cylindrical body, and the two ends are usually elliptical or dished heads. The stirring shaft is installed horizontally on the reactor body, and the agitator is of various forms, such as paddle type, anchor type, etc. The internal space of the horizontal reactor is relatively spacious, and the flow path of the material in the reactor is longer, which is conducive to the full mixing and reaction of the material.

Multifunctional Reactor: Multifunctional reactors are usually equipped with a variety of different functional modules based on the basic reactor structure, such as multiple heating methods (electric heating, steam heating, thermal oil heating, etc.), multiple stirring forms (the agitator can be replaced according to different reaction requirements), precise temperature and pressure control systems, online detection and analysis devices, etc. Its structural design is flexible and can be customized according to specific reaction processes and requirements.
